An information system audit is a systematic professional review of the technical and organizational aspect of providing IT support within a company, the purpose of which is to verify the compliance of IT operations with regulations, standards and good practices.
As a rule, the review is based on a risk analysis and controls review to determine whether the IT operation of the company is in line with its business goals and vision, efficient, secure and reliable, and whether incident procedures are appropriate with respect to the risks associated with operation and use of enterprise information systems.
